THE WATER CODE OF THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS
Article 53. The implementation of economic and other activities in water protection zones
The boundaries of water protection zones is not permitted, unless otherwise determined by the President of the Republic of Belarus:
1.1. application (application) with the use of aircraft and chemical plant protection means and mineral fertilizers;
1.2. the construction, operation, reconstruction, major repairs of objects of waste disposal facilities waste disposal facilities waste storage (except for authorized temporary storage of waste, precluding the possibility of debris entering the surface water and groundwater);
1.3. the construction, operation, reconstruction, major repairs of objects of storage and (or) burial facilities of the chemical plant protection means;
1.4. the storage of snow with the content of sand-salt mixtures, protivogaznyh reagents;
1.5. the placement of the fields in the irrigation wastewater, cemeteries, cattle burial grounds, filtration fields, sludge and slurry sites (except sites included in the treatment facilities of sewage full biological treatment and water intake facilities, providing that these areas of activities for the protection of waters specified in the design documentation);
1.6. the washing of transport and other technical means;
1.7. device summer camps for farm animals;
1.8. tree felling, removal, transplant of flora without forest management projects, the project documentation approved in the procedure prescribed by law, without the permission of the local Executive and administrative body, with the exception of cases stipulated by the legislation about the use, conservation and protection forests, to plant life, on transport, on the State border of the Republic of Belarus.
2. The boundaries of water protection zones permitted the construction, operation, reconstruction, overhaul of objects that are not referenced in paragraphs 1.2–1.5 of paragraph 1 of this article, subject to the measures for the protection of waters specified in the design documentation.
3. Existing on-site water protection areas, human settlements, industrial, agricultural and other facilities should be landscaped, equipped with a centralized Sewerage system, or water by raking, and other devices that prevent pollution, contamination of waters, with organized entryway for removal of the contents of these devices, storm sewers.
Livestock farms and complexes, located in territory of water protection zones should be fitted with watertight manure storages and giusberti, other devices and structures to prevent pollution of waters, with organized entryway for removal of the contents of these devices and structures.
4. Work on improvement of water protection zones, the reconstruction of the landscaping elements and the placement of small architectural forms in water protection zones is carried out in accordance with the legislation in the field of architectural, town-planning and construction activities on the protection and use of land.
5. Legislative acts may establish other prohibitions and restrictions of economic and other activities in water protection zones.
