Full Cavalier of the Order of Glory

Was born on 20 October 1922 in the village of Turok, now Petrikovsky district, Gomel region.

He fought against the German fascist invaders on the Western, Kalinin, Stalingrad, 2nd, 3rd Baltic and 1st Belorussian fronts. An active participant in the battles at Stalingrad, on the Kursk Bulge, in the Baltic States, Poland, Germany.

On 19 January 1944, the commander of the guards' gun crew, senior sergeant Grigory Korol, near the village of Batovo (now the Pskov region), smashed two machine guns and an enemy anti-tank gun with direct fire from a gun, which ensured a successful solution to the combat mission. Guard Senior Sergeant Grigory Yakovlevich Korol was awarded the Order of Glory, 3rd degree.

The commander of the guards' gun, senior sergeant Grigory Korol, in battles from 17 to 23 July 1944 in the area of the settlement of Ovechkino of the Pskov region with cannon fire suppressed four machine guns, ten guns, destroyed before a platoon of infantry, which made it possible to break through the enemy's defenses. The commander of the fire platoon of the guard, senior sergeant Grigory Korol, in the battles for Berlin from 22 April to 2 May 1945, commanding the soldiers of the fire platoon entrusted to him, destroyed an armored personnel carrier, a gun, suppressed two mortar batteries, eleven machine guns, scattered and partially destroyed more than a platoon infantry. Guard Senior Sergeant Grigory Yakovlevich Korol was awarded the Order of Glory, 1st degree, becoming a full Knight of the Order of Glory.

In 1946, the guard petty officer Grigory Yakovlevich Korol demobilized. In 1952 Grigory Yakovlevich Korol was drafted into the Soviet Army, graduated from officer courses. Since 1974, Guard Major Grigory Yakovlevich Korol - in reserve. He lived in the city of Gomel.
