Russia's Ufa to buy about 150 Gomselmash harvesters

MOSCOW, 27 June (BelTA) – Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Dmitry Krutoi and Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture of Bashkortostan Ilshat Fazrakhmanov launched a Gomselmash service center in Ufa on 27 June. The ceremony was co-located with the 10th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia taking place these days in Ufa, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian embassy in Russia.

“Bashkortostan is an agricultural region and the capacity of its harvester market is estimated at 4,000 combine harvesters. The Gomel-based manufacturer now holds 11% of the market. The ambassador put forward an ambitious goal – to replace Western manufacturers and divide the market in a 50/50 partnership with Rostselmash,” the press service said.

During the ceremony, agreements were signed to ship about 150 Belarusian harvesters, including for the Agrosila trading house operating in the region.

The press service added that this is the third solemn ceremony attended by Dmitry Krutoi on 27 June. Earlier, he launched shops selling Belarusian groceries and light industry products in Ufa. “Intensive contacts at all levels give a visible impulse to interaction,” the diplomatic mission noted.
