Belarus to repurpose maximum number of laboratories for testing for COVID-19 by PCR
Belarus will repurpose a maximum of laboratories for testing for COVID-19 by PCR, BelTA reports, citing the press service of the Ministry of health.
"Due to a significant increase in the number of cases, the Ministry of health is faced with the need to mobilize all the resources necessary to ensure testing for COVID-19 coronavirus infection by PCR when providing medical care to citizens of Belarus. For these purposes, all laboratories that can be used for these studies are being repurposed, " the press service noted.
As in the first wave of COVID-19, the resources of private medical centers and laboratory networks will now be used.
The Ministry of health expresses its gratitude to the heads of private laboratories for their support and mutual assistance.
In total, more than 50 laboratories in Belarus have the right to conduct testing for coronavirus infection by PCR.
