Belarus’ Gomel Oblast, Russia’s Primorye sign protocol on cooperation
GOMEL, 7 June (BelTA) - Belarus’ Gomel Oblast and Russia’s Primorye Territory signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation during the visit of the Russian delegation to the Belarusian region on 7 June, BelTA has learned.
The document was signed by Gomel Oblast Governor Ivan Krupko and Governor of Primorye Territory of Russia Oleg Kozhemyako.
The document stipulates that the parties will make the necessary efforts to expand and deepen long-term cooperation in economy, trade, science, technology, culture, tourism, sport, health and other activities.
“I am sure that the signing of the protocol on cooperation between our regions will strengthen interaction across all the areas,” Ivan Krupko stressed.
In his words, Gomel will host the 17th Gomel Economic Forum in September 2023. Ivan Krupko invited Oleg Kozhemyako to attend the event. “Perhaps the forum will become a platform for further strengthening of our cooperation and signing an agreement between Gomel Oblast and Primorye Territory,” the head of the region said.
