Belarus’ Gomel Oblast, Russia’s Primorye Territory expand cooperation
Agreements on supplies of meat and milk, metal products, exchange of tourists, and joint sports tournaments have been reached between Belarus’ Gomel Oblast and Russia’s Primorye Territory. The Gomel Oblast Executive Committee named the first results of the visit of the delegation of the southeastern Belarusian region, led by Governor Ivan Krupko, to Primorye Territory of Russia, BelTA has learned.
According to the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee, Kalinkovichi meat processing plant signed a contract to supply meat products to the Belarusian Farmer store chain in Primorye. Contracts have also been signed by Rogachev Minsk Canning Plant, Gomel Chemical Plant, and BMZ - a batch of reinforcing bars will be shipped in Q4. Deliveries of products of the Spartak confectionery factory are under consideration as well.
Another area of cooperation is the exchange of tourists. Primorye residents are interested in tours to military-historical sites of Gomel Oblast.
Talks are also underway to run joint sports tournaments. The focus will be made on martial arts.
Ivan Krupko emphasized the need to expand the potential of cooperation between Gomel Oblast and Primorye Territory. There is every opportunity as well as the desire of the residents of the two region to do this.
