Belarus government revises agribusiness program to adjust implementation of 13 investment project

MINSK, 16 March (BelTA) – A comprehensive revision of the government program Agribusiness will allow addressing issues concerning the realization of 13 new investment projects, the government's press service quoted Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko as saying.

BelTA has learned that the prime minister has signed a government resolution on adjusting the government program Agribusiness for the 2021-2025 period. Roman Golovchenko said that the funding volume had been increased by Br322 million at the expense of the central state budget, including for the sake of the sowing campaign and for creating a solid forage supply. Apart from that, the program has resolved issues concerning the implementation of 13 new investment projects in such areas as crop farming, poultry farming, dairy and meat animal husbandry. Approaches to providing budget transfers for the sake of reducing capital outlays in the course of implementation of investment projects have been improved.

The Belarusian head of government stressed that the period for taking out bank loans with state assistance in the form of subsidies to cover part of the interest rate payments had been extended onto 2022 for the sake of retooling the enterprises that make dairy products, which are marked with means of identification.
