Belarus president's aircraft arrives in Russia's Vladivostok

BLAGOVESHCHENSK, 12 April (BelTA) – The aircraft with Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko on board has left Blagoveshchensk for Vladivostok. The itinerary of Aleksandr Lukashenko’s working visit will continue in Primorye Territory, the Russian Federation on 13 April, BelTA has learned.
On 12 April, Cosmonautics Day Aleksandr Lukashenko and President of Russia Vladimir Putin visited the Vostochny Cosmodrome in Amur Oblast. They arrived on the same helicopter and were made familiar with the development of the space launch facility from the air and on the ground. Then the heads of state talked to cosmonauts and workers of the Vostochny Cosmodrome.
Negotiations of the two leaders took place in the afternoon. Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin discussed a broad range of matters starting with the realization of projects in the sphere of outer space exploration and ending with trade, counteraction of the sanction policy of the West, prices for hydrocarbon resources, and military security. The situation in the region and events in Ukraine were also discussed.
After the talks the presidents informed representatives of mass media in detail about results of the talks and answered questions of the reporters.
Then Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin took a helicopter to return together to the airport of Amur Oblast’s administrative capital – the city of Blagoveshchensk. The Belarusian head of state left for Vladivostok after that. On 13 April he is expected to meet with top officials of the Primorye Territory administration and visit a number of places. Prospects of advancing Belarus’ cooperation with this Far East region will be high on the agenda.
