Belorusneft, Gazprom Neft's daughter enterprises to advance cooperation
Representatives of the Belarusian state industrial group Belorusneft and daughter enterprises of PAO Gazprom Neft have signed a memorandum of cooperation, BelTA has learned.
A Gazprom Neft delegation was made familiar with the operation of Belorusneft divisions during a three-day trip to Gomel Oblast. The memorandum of cooperation was signed on 19 December. Heads of the companies signed the document.
Belorusneft Director General Aleksandr Lykhov expressed readiness to cooperate and interact with Russian colleagues in various areas. A lot of contact points were mentioned.
For instance, the parties discussed possible applications of the Digital Drilling Rig project. They evaluated the potential for full-cycle construction of wells. Better ways to identify reference points for optimizing the rig assembly work cycle were mentioned in addition to other possibilities.
The Russian delegation visited several wells of the Rechitsa oil field where members of the delegation were made familiar with the methods used to build horizontal shafts for wells in unconventional reservoirs as well as methods used for hydraulic fracturing. Russian and Belarusian specialists discussed the optimization of full-cycle construction of wells in Belorusneft fields. The delegation also visited the backfill division of Belorusneft, the oil and gas production division Rechitsaneft, the personnel training and retraining division, and the BelNIPIneft institute.
During a tour of the BelNIPIneft institute the Russian delegation was made familiar with the center for core examination, the reservoir physics sector, with the labs focusing on hydraulic fracturing, model experiments, chemical support for oil recovery intensification, and other divisions. As they visited the personnel training and retraining division, the guests were made familiar with an international training and simulation center for controlling a well operation. An equipment simulator was demonstrated. New academic programs, which have been successfully introduced this year, were presented. Cutting-edge education practices met interest of the Russian delegation.
The Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft was founded in 1966. The company specializes in exploration, prospecting, and development of oil fields, well drilling, extraction of oil and associated petroleum gas in Belarus. Belorusneft also runs oil industry operations in other countries.
