CEC approves election results: Lukashenka elected President

The CEC approved the results of the presidential elections. 80.1% of voters voted for the incumbent President Alexander Lukashenko. Such data are posted on the website of the Central Election Commission, BelTA informs.

10.12% of voters voted for Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, Anna Kanopatskaya - 1.68%, Andrey Dmitriev - 1.21%, Sergey Cherechnya - 1.14%, against all - 4.59%.

The number of voters who took part in the voting is 5,818,955. The turnout in the country as a whole is 84.28%.

Today a meeting of the CEC took place, and the results of the elections were approved by the decision of the commission. Alyaksandr Lukashenka has been elected President of Belarus, the Central Election Commission said.
