Election 2025: Belarus’ TECs will be formed before 6 November

MINSK, 5 November (BelTA) - The formation of the territorial election commissions (TECs) for the presidential election 2025 in Belarus will be over on 6 November, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Igor Karpenko told the media, BelTA has learned.
“The process of forming territorial election commissions is underway. A total of 153 of TECs will be formed before 6 November. A total of 1,725 citizens have been nominated to these commissions. The majority of them, 1,179 people, were nominated by the political parties and public associations,” Igor Karpenko said. “The local executive and administrative authorities should make the appropriate decisions. After the formation of commissions and election of their leadership, the CEC will hold a seminar for the leadership of these commissions. We have issued all necessary guidelines for these commissions. They have already been distributed.”
Belarus' presidential election is scheduled for 26 January 2025.
