Lukashenko to address Belarusian people, parliament in January

I am planning to address the people and parliament in January, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he appointed new heads of local authorities, BelTA has learned.

"Despite all the difficulties we must look ahead. The country must develop, no matter what. We will not have a quiet life. But sitting idle whining about anti-Belarus policy is not our approach either," Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

The president stressed that Belarus needs to hold out in the current situation, but at the same time the people should be aware of the ways of the country's development and the government's plans to do it.
