The CEC registered five candidates in Presidents of Belarus

The Central election Commission today at the meeting has registered five Presidential candidates, the correspondent of BelTA.

Was Andrei Dmitriev, Anna Konopacka, Alexander Lukashenko, Svetlana Tikhanovski, Sergey Caraceni.

Denied registration to Victor Babariko due to the inconsistency of the submitted declarations on income and property, and also due to the fact that his election campaign was attended by the foreign organization. Was not registered by the CEC and Valery Tsepkalo. He was not able to collect in support of his nomination more than 100 thousand valid signatures. The reason is that in the Declaration on incomes and property of his wife were given false information that are essential.

Today, the CEC considered a number of campaign issues. So, the CEC amended the regulations on the procedure of using mass media in preparing and holding elections. The adjusted dates and time of broadcast performances on radio and television Presidential candidates. As noted during the meeting, the acting head of state, who is running for a new term, refused to provided him the electoral legislation in time for campaign speeches. With this in mind, and capabilities of the BTRC, the CEC considers it optimal to speak on a radio broadcast on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8.00 to 9.00. The first will be on 20 and 22 July. The right to subsequent performance the contenders for the presidency will be able to implement 27 and 29 July. On television, the candidates will perform on 21 and 28 July from 17.00 to 19.00. As for the debates, the CEC offered to take them on 30 July. Also adjusted the list of print media in which the candidates will be able to publish election programs. In addition, the CEC conducted among the candidates draw lots to determine the date and time of pre-election speeches.

As reported, the House of representatives has appointed the presidential election on 9 August. For the schedule of early voting will be held from 4 to 8 August. The results of the Central election Commission shall sum no later than August 19. The second round, if necessary, is scheduled to be held no later than within two weeks, that is August 23.
